Born to a Methodist family, raised and nurtured in Methodist churches, educated at a Methodist university, and married to a Methodist pastor, Rev. Rodney Roberts – where else would I be but right here at home in FUMC? As we raised our three children, I loved the roles of pastor’s wife and lay participant in the church. I also found ministries in public school teaching (secondary school English) and administration for a publically funded counseling center. I made side trips into the world of business as a Girl Friday and bill collector for Electrolux, and landman-in-training for a small oil company. After our youngest finished high school, I responded to a life-long calling to ministry, completed the schooling needed for ordination as an Elder in the UMC, and began full time ministry.

God had called me home, and sent me to several churches as pastor, to the Clovis District as District Superintendent, and to the NM Conference office as program director. After retirement, Rodney and I served here as interim pastors before Craig came, and after Rodney’s death I served an interim term as pastor at FUMC Clovis. I returned here in 2005, and I thank God for the pleasure and challenge of this ministry.
